Solar car is an electric car that uses solar energy. This energy is gained in solar photovoltaic panels drawn to the upper surface of the vehicle. These photovoltaic (PV) cells connect to a 48-volt battery, and they convert sunlight directly into electricity, to operate the vehicle.
The solar car is not listed as general vehicles that you see every day on the street, but they are made primarily for racing, engineering, or a simple display, and projects are generally funded by the government.
The technology used by these solar-powered cars is the same as those used for satellites in the international space stations. The development of these special vehicles is very limited because of its power source that requires batteries and solar energy, which makes it rather ineffective during the night. But most Solar Cars that were built were used for racing.
